AluZinc 10/90

Advanced Corrosion Protection

When choosing a fence, the true measure of its value is how well it performs over the long term. Our mesh fencing is designed as a complete system, combining an advanced coated wire with a tough protective layer to ensure exceptional quality and a greatly extended service life. This focus on durability guarantees a sound investment for your property, reducing the need for future maintenance and replacement.

The durability and lifespan of our fencing start with the wire itself. We use steel wire coated with an advanced AluZinc 10/90 layer, consisting of 90% zinc and 10% aluminium. This isn’t just any galvanised wire; it is a high-quality alternative built for enduring corrosion resistance.

Key Quality Features for Extended Longevity:

  • Superior Corrosion Resistance: In corrosive conditions, AluZinc 10/90 wire is designed to last up to three times longer than conventional heavy galvanised (Class A) wire. This performance is critical in coastal regions, areas with industrial air pollution, and other harsh environments.
  • Dual-Action Protection: The coating works in two ways. The zinc provides active, sacrificial protection to the steel, while the aluminium forms a passive, durable barrier. This significantly slows the corrosion process.
  • Protection Where It Counts: The coating’s active properties help protect the most vulnerable points of a fence, such as cut ends, scratches from installation, and the heat-affected zones around welds.
  • High-Quality Manufacturing: The coating features excellent adhesion and concentricity, ensuring a consistent, durable, and smooth protective layer that resists damage. It withstands temperatures up to 350°C, ensuring the wire’s protective qualities are not compromised during the mesh welding process.
